Rx4good Announces Expansion of Professional Team

Rx4good announced today the appointments of Heidi Adams, as Chief Patient Advocate and Tamar Sekayan as Counselor, Health Industry Engagement, Rx4good West Coast.

Ms Adams, formerly CEO of Critical Mass, the young adult cancer advocacy organization, fills the new position of Chief Patient Advocate. In this role, she will drive the development of strategies and programs that ensure the patient perspective is central to Rx4good’s client programs and services.

In addition to her most recent position at Critical Mass, Heidi was formerly Vice President, Strategic Partnerships at the LIVESTRONG Foundation and the Founder and Executive Director of Planet Cancer, the first national nonprofit organization committed to creating a community of peer support for young adults with cancer.

“Heidi has lived patient advocacy as a leader and innovator, always uniquely focused on understanding and meeting the myriad medical and psychosocial needs of people who live with challenging diseases,” said Moravick. “Her perspective will ensure the patient experience is reflected in our full range of services. With patient perspectives increasingly important to everything from product design, effective clinical trial design and recruiting strategies, to medical education, patient support and compliance programs and direct-to-consumer initiatives, Heidi’s expertise will be invaluable to our clients. She will also lead Rx4good’s social engagement activities because of her strong background in digital, having founded the first digital platform for young adults with cancer in 2008.”

The appointment of Tamar Sekayan, as Counselor, Health Industry Engagement, West Coast, reflects Rx4good’s growing client presence in the region in support of an expanding base of leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, while adding complimentary expertise to its professional team. Formerly Senior Manager Patient Advocacy and Professional Relations at Onyx/Amgen, Sekayan played a key role in engaging patient advocacy groups and identifying opportunities to further patient support, education and access in the US and globally. With prior stints at the National Brain Tumor Society, The Crime Victims Funds in San Diego, the Children’s Advocacy Center in Boston and as part of the foreign policy team of the office of Senator Edward Kennedy, her background also encompasses nonprofit, social work and policy experience.
